The South Island Back-Country Adventure Tour is the ultimate South Island adventure experience! This tour packs in ten days of epic riding, starting and finishing in Christchurch, taking in the absolute best-of-the-best adventure riding routes and experiences in New Zealand.

Experience everything NZ has to offer in one epic adventure ride! From majestic mountain passes, fantastic sweeping gravel roads, breathtaking winding highways, epic lake vistas, and traversing the most famous high country stations in NZ, we guarantee you will not be disappointed!

Nine nights' accommodation is included in the tour, experiencing overnights in 9 different towns around the South Island, each with its own unique flavor of life in New Zealand.

The tour has an “off-the-beaten-track” focus with some highway riding linking the back-country routes and gravel roads, plus some 4wd tracks and stream crossings to keep the adrenaline pumping. The tour is therefore only suited to intermediate riders with gravel and off-road riding experience.

Day 2 Blenheim – Hanmer Springs 316 km
Day 3 Hanmer Springs – Westport 290 km+
Day 4 Westport – Franz Josef 352 km
Day 5 Franz Josef – Queenstown 357 km+
Day 6 Queenstown – Alexandra 287 km
Day 7 Alexandra – Omarama 415 km
Day 8 Omarama – Methven 321 km
Day 9 Methven – Christchurch 255 km
Day 10 Christchurch – Christchurch 275 km

Pricing starts at NZD $8,890 per person (in twin share accommodation).

The price varies depending on which KTM bike model is allocated for the tour. We have limited numbers available of each model, therefore your first choice bike selection may not be available.
